What this tool does
Convert an image into a multi-size .ico favicon. Choose icon sizes, shape (square, circle, rounded rectangle), and optional padding, then download a standards-compliant ICO file.
Steps
- Upload Image: Click File to select PNG/JPG/WebP/BMP/GIF.
- Select Sizes: Pick one or more icon sizes (16–512 px).
- Choose Shape: Square, Circle, or Rounded rectangle.
- Padding (Rounded only): Enable padding to avoid edge clipping.
- Convert: Click Convert to generate and download the .ico.
Examples
- Classic favicon: 16, 32, 48 px – Shape: Square.
- Hi‑DPI favicon: 16, 32, 48, 96, 256 px – Shape: Rounded rectangle + Padding.
- Avatar-style: 128, 256, 512 px – Shape: Circle.
Tips
- Start from a square image for best results (or crop beforehand).
- Use transparent PNG to retain rounded or circular edges cleanly.
- Include 16/32/48 for broad browser compatibility; add 256/512 for modern OS icons.
